It’s been a period of brilliant growth for our company. We’ve been thrilled to gain a number of new customers, and expand our outreach across the UK. So, to continue this exciting phase of development, we’ve recruited a new member to our expanding team.
Craig Clapperton has recently joined the company as our Business Development Manager, and we’re delighted to have his experience and expertise on hand to help us into the future.
In fact, Craig is off to a fantastic start – in less than four months, he has already won over £60,000 worth of new business for us.
In addition to directing sales and attaining new contracts for the business, Craig’s role will also involve working with existing customers to enhance their customer care. He will work with the rest of the team to ensure quality service delivery, and identify potential areas of future growth and opportunities.
Craig Clapperton has joined the company after 22 years’ worth of experience in the grounds maintenance industry. He worked his way up the career ladder from starting in skilled labourer jobs, then progressing to work as a Foreman, Senior Foreman, then gaining a management position as Grounds Maintenance Manager (all within the same company).
When asked for what he was most looking forward to in this new role, Craig stated: “Helping Shed reach their goals and beyond is my main focus and already I can see the spirit and desire of wanting to succeed.
“We are all pulling together as a team to achieve this and I am confident that not only myself, but the company as a whole will push on and go from strength to strength.”
Craig also added that: “I am very pleased to be part of the Shed team, who have made me extremely welcome and have helped me settle into my new role, which I am thoroughly enjoying.
“I am embracing the personable approach, which is what attracted me to Shed, as well as the ethos of a small business wanting to progress. I am very excited to be part of that journey.”
Peter Botham, Shed Grounds’ Managing Director, also expressed his delight to have Craig on board as a new member of the team:
