At Shed we are pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Longford as the new Contracts Manager for the North region.
Matt will play a vital role in ensuring we continue to deliver high-quality services to our clients. He started his career in Golf Clubs, progressing to Head Greenkeeper before moving to join a Grounds Maintenance business in 2019, progressing to management roles. He brings a wealth of experience and has already demonstrated his focus on nurturing teams and caring for his clients.
As Contracts Manager, Matt will be responsible for organising his teams on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that contracts are delivered to the required specifications and standards. He will also be the main point of contact for our clients within his region, providing them with excellent customer service and ensuring all their needs are met.

Trading for over 20 years, we have continued to grow year after year with an exceptional achievement in 2021/22, achieving 44% like-for-like growth and closing 2022/23 at the end of March in 25% growth. This accomplishment has been achieved through a combination of excellent customer service creating high customer loyalty, whilst focusing on quality and driving innovation in the business to enhance service standards and operational processes.
Matt’s role is one of the results of this exceptional growth within the last two years for us. The growth of the business has created several new employment opportunities within the operational, administrative and management functions 10 new employees joined Shed in the past 24 months including 2 apprentices, with further recruitment planned for the future.
