This year has had an 81% increase in foodbank usage compared to 5 years ago. We decided to support our local foodbank in South Normanton this Christmas.
The South Normanton Area Foodbank is a project founded by local churches working together towards stopping hunger in our local area. It opened in 2013 and has fed 15102 people since they opened to the 31st of March.
At Shed throughout December we have been collecting donations to drop off at our local foodbank. A huge thank you to our generous team who brought some food in to donate. Although times are hard in the current financial times just a small donation can make a massive difference.
We are pleased to have contributed 27.30kgs of food.
Christmas can be a tough time of the year for many families, we hope our donations can help to make that time a little easier for somebody.
